Formerly Insomnia nightclub, this is a large commercial venue open 7 days a week from 10pm to 2am. Entrance costs 350 Thai Baht per person. Insanity Night Club has one large dance floor and bar. Monaco Gentleman’s Club

Monaco Gentlemans Club
This is a ‘coyote bar’ with some karaoke rooms off the main room. The pricing structure of Bangkok gentlemen’s clubs is complicated and bear in mind that members and non-members pay different prices. Check the menu and that you understand what everything costs before you order as it can be expensive.

Doi Chaang Coffee (www.doichaangcoffee.com)

Doi Chaang Coffee
Doi Chaang Coffee is a branch of a Thai coffee chain, 50% owned by the Akha Hill Tribe of the Doi Chaang village region in Northern Thailand who grow the coffee beans. This modern, stylish coffee shop offers a full range of hot and iced coffees made using the Doi Chaang coffee bean.

Cabbages and Condoms

Cabbages and Condoms
Now an international restaurant brand, this is the original Cabbages and Condoms restaurant. The restaurant chain is a fund raising venture for a Thai family planning charity (the Population and Community Development Association), hence the unusual name.

This is a great Thai restaurant and thoroughly recommended. You have the option of sitting inside teak panelled dining rooms or outside in the fan cooled garden. The food is classic Thai presented in a modern style. The menu is very extensive, listing some 123 unique dishes from salads to deserts. Expect to pay 60 to 470 Thai Baht a dish, plus 10% service charge and 7% VAT. They have a good range of drinks including imported wines.
